Meet 99-year-old Lillian Weber. Every day, the great-grandmother from Bettendorf, Iowa sews a dress for a child in need in Africa.
She has been sewing the dresses by hand for 8 years, and adding them to a batch made by other local senior citizens for a charity called Little Dresses For Africa. www.littledressesforafrica.org
Lillian says: "I've just been so blessed to be able to help somebody. It helps me mentally to know I'm helping these little girls."
She will turn 100 in May and her goal is to sew 1000 dresses by her 100 birthday.
She is asking for funds made in her honor, to ship not only her dresses but as many as possible.
