We are about to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow and will then be well into the Christmas and holiday season. Although, let’s be honest, most of the storefronts already have their windows decorated for the season! There are plenty of ways to make fun family traditions in Evansville, IN this holiday season. Nov. 30 Holiday C.A.R.E. Faire
The Evansville Animal Shelter’s Holiday C.A.R.E. Faire is a fun event for all of you animal lovers! You can bring your dog or cat to have their picture taken with Santa “Paws.” You can also buy gifts for your pet at the silent auction. C.A.R.E. will be collecting canned food to use for the animals at the shelter.
Dec. 1 Food Drive at the Evansville History Center
From 1-4pm on Dec. 1, the Annual Holiday Open House will be taking place at the Evansville History Center. This beautiful lakeside mansion will be decorated for the holidays and you can spend time looking at the Center’s exhibits, take part in crafts and enjoy some delicious treats. The Evansville History Center will be accepting non-perishable food from Nov. 30 through Dec. 5 from 1-4pm daily.
Dec. 8 Holiday Bazaar
Local Evansville, IN artists will be showcasing and selling their unique handmade gifts at the Bazaar. You won’t want to miss it!
Dec 6-8 The Nutcracker On Ice
Nothing makes me think of Christmas quite as much as The Nutcracker. This will be the 39th annual production in Evansville, IN and will showcase competitive figure skaters and students skating to the classic Nutcracker tale. Tickets are $9 for general seats and $10 for reserved seats. This event takes place at the Robert Crown Community Center and Ice Complex.
