The Dickens’ Christmas Festival
The Saint George Dickens’ Christmas Festival is a rather distinctive and curious event. Overflowing with entertainment and shopping opportunity for both residents and visitors alike. Participants will be encouraged to meander along make-believe village streets of a bygone era, as they shop for Christmas gifts and hobnob with the Dickens' cast of characters; socializing with the likes of Tiny Tim, Scrooge and even good old Queen Victoria.
The Ultimate Outdoor Expo
For southern Utah's residents and visitors alike the ultimate outdoor Expo offers an opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to start 2015 off on the right foot. This year's outdoor Expo will surely please those who enjoy a slightly more active lifestyle, highlighting what Southern Utah has to offer. Offering interactive demonstrations, outdoor enthusiasts will be able to view the many vendors that offer fishing and camping equipment, RVs, ATVs and boats. And for those ‘Duck Dynasty’ fans, visitors will be allowed to browse the latest rifles and associated equipment. The event will include; fly fishing demos, archery exhibitions, mountaineering advice, boat safety, rock crawling demonstrations, duck calling… and of course the always-essential duck dog demonstrations.
The Washington County Economic Summit
a.k.a. What's up Down South? – will be kicking off Thursday, January 15, 2015. As the event enters its 19th consecutive year, it has won a reputation as being "the premier business planning event of southern Utah." Washington counties what's up down south economic Summit usually begins at 7 AM with check in and a nutritious breakfast; then from 7:40 AM to 8:50 AM the event's keynote speakers give a dissertation on southern Utah's economic status. Providing a dissertation on both the areas economic status as well as the southern Utah housing market.
