Don't Become A Victim Of Theft Over The Holidays

Don't Become A Victim Of Theft Over The Holidays.  Christmas is just around the corner and you have already started packing your luggage for your much anticipated trip.  Excitement about your travel plans can set you up to become a victim of theft over the holidays if you aren't careful.

As tempting as it may be, do NOT post anything about your plans to be away for the holidays on Facebook, twitter or any other social media site.  Wait until you return from your vacation and post about what a great time you had.

Also, don't discard boxes that big ticket items came in next to your trash cans.  Break them down and put them in the trash can or find an alternative way to dispose of them.  Flat screen TV boxes, computer boxes etc...just make a thief jump with joy!

The holidays are a wonderful time of year so don't let yours be ruined.  Have a safe, wonderful Christmas and a prosperous New Year!

Great value post.  Thanks for sharing.  I wrote about this yesterday.  Social Media has all sorts of unique dangers.

Thanks for sharing,

Excellent reminder Terry.  It reminds me how Mom would hate even going to the store as Christmas came within a few days.  Worried how easy to come in with packages surrounding the tree.  Mark
