Why Bother? Your Mind is Already Made Up!
Sometimes a simple sentence in a conversation with a friend, a small comment on a blog or overhearing the most innocent words of a child can change the way you think. Children don't put limits on their dreams, but as adults do we instill limits in their dreams? Why is it some of us cannot visualize what we truly can be. The words; "I'll never have that." or "I could never afford to do this." come out of our mouths without even thinking about the impact they make on not only our own lives, but the lives of our children. We simply assume we cannot acheive that goal without even truly investigating it.
Why bother with a business plan if our mindset has created our own glass ceiling?
More importantly, what is that teaching our children?
It's time to break that glass ceiling, shatter those thoughts and make your dreams come true!
When your child says; "Can we do,...." let's hesitate to answer. Think about what your words are teaching them. Now, instead of saying; "That costs too much.", (or whatever quick response we might have), show them how to make a plan to acheive that request.
1. What is your goal?
2. What is the cost to this goal? Time? Money?
3. What is the time length it will take you to acheive this goal?
4. What are the action steps needed to acheive that goal?
4. What are the items to be ready for that may derail our efforts & how do we overcome them?
Am I missing anything here?
So, why bother? Your mind is already made up!
Ain't that great!
No more; "We can't because,......"
Now it's; "How can we,.....?"
That glass ceiling is simply a mirror of your own mindset,
and it's good luck to break through it!
