2014 MoonPie Over Mobile - Mobile's New Year Celebration

 

The Moon Pie Drop in Downtown Mobile, AL first started in 2008. The MoonPie Over Mobile New Year's Celebration is a Mardi Gras style street party to bring in the New Year. The streets of Downtown will fill with over 60,000 locals and tourists celebrating the New Year with live music, food, and what every Mardi Gras party needs - Alchol. The featured entertainment for this year's event is the 'Village People.' Below is a full schedule of the MoonPie Over Mobile Celebration. Hope to see you there!

New Year's Eve 2014

6:00 - Midnight Resolution Wall - Corner of St. Joseph and St. Francis streets
7:00 - 9:00 PM Children's Activities in Bienville Square
7:00 - 8:30 PM Sons of Funk New Era - Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard Stage
7:00 - 9:00 PM MoonPie Moonshine Tasting - Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard
7:30 - 9:00 PM Cary Laine & Holli Mosley - Bienville Square Stage
8:00 PM Giant MoonPie provided by Chattanooga Bakery is cut - Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard
8:30 PM Second Line led by the Excelsior Band leaves from the Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard and ends at the Main Stage. Public invited to join.
9:00 - 10:30 PM Evelyn "Champagne" King - Main Stage
11:00 - 12:30 PM Village People - Main Stage
Midnight MoonPie Drop, fireworks, laser light show
