You have probably heard about the "reduce, recycle, reuse" campaign. This is meant to reduce the amount of trash we add to our landfills every year in our Lake Havasu community. We are too quick to throw things away. Turn trash into treasure while helping out a great cause by participating in the Lake Havasu Hospice ReInvention 2015.

Hospice of Havasu began helping our community back in 1982. What began as a small non-profit organization that shared offices with the Cooperative Ministry Counseling Center and Pregnancy Care has transformed into a busy operation located at 365 S Lake Havasu Ave. They have grown big enough to have staff offices in both Parker and Fort Mohave.

As Baby Boomers age, demand for services like those provided by Hospice of Havasu grows. They need your help to continue their program. You can do so by shopping at their Resale Store located at 232 London Bridge Rd any time of the year. They always have new stuff coming in. So, check back often.

If you are a DIY-er, please consider entering a project for the Lake Havasu Hospice ReInvention 2015. All you have to do is take an old pair of jeans, chairs, dressers, scrap metal, wood or anything else you have around the house that you do not use anymore and re-purpose it into art, accessories or whatever your mind can think up. Submit an entry form with $20 per project and your "before" picture to the Hospice of Havasu offices by the end of business on February 9th.

The deadline to submit your completed project for the Lake Havasu Hospice ReInvention 2015 is February 27th. By submitting your project, you agree to allow Hospice of Havasu to auction it off to the highest bidder at their Trash to Treasure Fundraiser on February 28th. All money raised will benefit Hospice of Havasu. Your $20 project fee with get you two free tickets to the show/sale on the 28th. Please help out this wonderful organization and sign up today.
