Whether married, dating or single, most Americans believe that owning a home is a good financial decision. According to a new infographic from the National Association of Realtors®, relationship status can affect when and where buyers purchase a home and how much they spend on it.

Lisa - It makes perfect sense that two people buying could afford more of a home. What I find interesting is what was important to the different types of owners, and that single females owned more homes than single males.

If you can afford to own, and afford to maintain and have the knowledge or ability to learn how to maintain then yes, it is a good idea to own.

Lisa, to each their own and this is good information to be aware of as the different types of buyers have different priorities when looking to buy a home.
