It is one of the most forested areas and is home to Everett's flagship park - Forest Park - an easy commute to downtown Seattle which is 28 miles away. Take the Sounder Train from the Everett station (3201 Smith Ave.), or nearby I-5. Grocery shopping is close by on Broadway in Everett and all your other needs are available at the Everett Mall (Macy's, Trader Joe's, Burlingtons, TJ Maxx, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Old Navy). South Forest Park is the overall area, however, The Preserve at Forest Park is an upscale subdivision to the north.

The neighborhood is anchored by Forest Park (of course!) - an expansive 197-acre wooded park is Everett's oldest and largest park, and features a playground, trails, tennis and basketball courts, a picnic shelter, street hockey, swim center, water playground, horseshoes and an animal farm during the summer months. Something for everybody, you have to simply check it out yourself. Access is off of Mukilteo Blvd. Also check out nearby Howarth Park - 28-acres of spectacular views, trails, tennis courts, the Lewis and Clark Native Garden, an off-leash dog area and safe access to a saltwater beach. Enjoy views of the Olympic Mountains - perfect for picnics, beach combing with plenty of room to toss a football or Frisbee. South Forest Park is also served by Harborview Park and Mukilteo Lighthouse Park.
