This is interesting. I checked the stats for our small community in Northeastern Massachusetts, about 32 miles northeast of Boston and 15 miles south of the NH seacoast. We have a population of roughly 8,700 and are a historic community, part of the Byfield Parish, where many of the movers and shakers of the 1700's lived or met. From 1990 to 2010 Georgetown was the fastest growing community in all of Essex County. We are a found community which is causing some transition pains among the residents, both old & new. But, let that go.
I decided to take a look at the 6 month and 1 year stats for sales in our town, since we are all complaining about an extremely low inventory. We have had a tough winter with 10' [ten feet] of snow in our area. Our "normal" snowfall amount for a winter is 4' [four feet]. We may have low inventory BUT, for a community of roughly 2400 homes, I'd say we are doing well.
