Spring is here! Spring is here!

With spring breathing down our back its time to spice up our homes and yards. We all go through or attempt to go through the inevitable tedious task of “spring cleaning.” We through this away, through that away and many of us still don’t receive that “aw spring” feeling in our homes.

Here are a few quick tips and tricks to welcome spring into your homes:

  • ·         Adding spring blossoms
  • ·         Painting something white in your home
  • ·         Gardening small herbs
  • ·         Decorate your patio or other outside areas
  • ·         Clear away counter space
  • ·         Clean your windows, thoroughly
  • ·         Paint a room

Although these ideas may seem simple these simple fixes will allow you and your home to embrace this new season.

Adding spring blossoms

allow for a fresh fragrance in your home but also makes the home more visually appealing. You can easily but the blossoms in a small glass vase that can be decorated or you can put the blossoms on a canvas and hang it on your walls. Blossoms can last for up to a month so have fun and be creative changing them out monthly!

White! We all love white, right? White symbolizes life, renewal, purity. Adding this simple color to your home whether on the wall, countertop, chairs, anything you can revive a room. White also goes with anything so no additional stress of making sure things coordinate.

Gardening small herbs can add a taste of outside, inside. Small herbs will bring a fresh fragrance and color into your home without lifting a paintbrush.

Decorating your outside space can add privacy and beauty to your space. You can add a hammock, mirror, and a fence to block out noise, a flower box, or additional gardening.

Clearing out your counter space can make your everyday activities such as cooking much easier. Having a clearer counter space will make your kitchen appear much larger than it actually is. Take time to take off everything on your counter, wipe it down, and ONLY put back things you frequently use and need.

Cleaning your windows is by far the most dreaded chore of all. It is imperative to clean the inside and outside of your windows to make sure the windows are clear and will allow for the best view and most lighting.

Last but not least, painting a room. By painting a room you instantly give a room a face lift. Paint your room a fresh spring color, remove all harsh and dark lighting and furniture. Replace dark window coverings to get natural lighting and include new accessories and furnishings.

With spring rapidly approaching you can “spice” up your home and yard to welcome spring in just a few short ways. These ways range from inexpensive to expensive. Let’s embrace the spring season!

Christine, these are great tips for homeowners to follow to make their home more appealing should they deciede to call you to list their house.  I would clean windows anyday rather than paint!  ^_~
