English Manor in Rockville, MD, is a well-adored subdivision of 364 modest homes, built in the late 1950s 
and early 1960s, consisting mostly of ramblers and split levels. The neighborhood is framed on the north by Bel Pre Road, on the east by Georgia Avenue, on the south generally by Heathfield Road, and on the west by Arctic Avenue.
Buyers like the area because it is more affordable than many other neighborhoods in Rockville, its quiet streets and mature trees. Lots are generally a bit smaller than a quarter of an acre, which are not too big for people who don't want to spend too much time on lawn care, but large enough for a garden or for the kids to play in.
A CVS, a Giant and some restaurants, such as Panera, are on Georgia Avenue at Aspen Hill Shopping 
Center. The Intercounty Connector is about 2.5 miles away to the north. Aspen Hill Library is close by on Aspen Hill Road. Norbeck and Veirs Mill roads funnel drivers to downtown Rockville.
Houses are typically between 1150 and 1485 square feet, but some are as small as 858 square feet or as large as 2300 square feet. They usually have a full basement with walk-out access to the yard. Most homes have either three or four bedrooms and two or two and a half baths. Some have five bedrooms.
The neighborhood is served, at this writing, by Lucy V. Barnsley Elementary School, Earle B. Wood Middle School and Rockville High School. There is no HOA or condo fee. Property taxes are about $3800, depending on value of the home.
