Staging Small Areas Will Make a Difference

Sellers today are finding it difficult to deal with the real estate market. They already are dealing with price reductions and many days on the market. Yet, the buzz is out....in order to sell you need to have your home STAGED. So what options are open to the sellers?

As a professional home stager I will outline a detailed report of all the items that I see that must be addressed. Will the seller agree to do everything? NOT ALWAYS! So how do we work within a budget that will help them? Here is a small window seat and bookcase in a client's family room/kitchen area.

My first recommendation was to paint the green walls a neutral color. The countertops were granite but as you can see they are a pretty odd shade of green, so downplaying all the green needed to be done. Then I wanted to draw your attention to the window seat and bookcase. So what can a stager do on a budget?

Phyllis- You did a great job on this area of the house. It is amazing what we as Stagers can do using very little. I agree Staging is finally catching on here on the east coast.
