Coalition for Smarter Growh

On May 30, 2015, from 10am to noon, the Coalition for Smarter Growth will be hosting a walking tour of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

While the neighborhood already ranks as very walking friendly, this tour will also look at the upcoming changes and development as the neighborhood finds itself with more infill development which should continue to allow the trend for urban ease and access.

It's worthy to note to many readers in Active Rain that these Walking Tours & Forums are as a result of financial contribiutions by the National Association of Realtors.

If you can't make the tour, but still want to check out Capitol Hill, I can always be convinced to have lunch or dinner at the many many places on the Hill that are sure to delight with history and people watching.

If you can make this tour, you'll learn lots of info.
Otherwise, sign up for some others.

This should be interesting Claude. However, I find the "Parent Shuffle," that you mentioned on Patricia Kennedy post even more interesting. Give me details!!!!

Sheila Anderson It's one of the many events so that we can stay connected to our community. It's a large city, but this is simply a village in the metro area, and we keep that feel by these types of events.

Bob Crane I'd surely expect you'd be able to host just as interesting tours of your local forests too.

Patricia Feager, MBA, GRI, Cert Negotiations Expert, Military Relo Prof What surprises me is that I'm 800 miles from home in the almost-frozen-in-May Quebec City and someone says "oh, this was fun, let's do it again in October". That party is planned for Montreal, which I truly enjoy.  This most recent trip was drama free, though as my parent age, the drama potential certainly increases, very much increases.  Stay tuned. Glad you enjoyed it.

It's a beautiful city I have only visited twice.  I'd love to visit again when I could stay a little longer and have time that wasn't as structured as when I visited with a group.

Tammy Lankford Time is such a prescious resource; if I only had figured that out when I was in my teens.  But...DC will be here still when you do find the time.
