Aloha Michael, it is a fun little shin dig they throw that helps promote the up and commers in the local food and fashion scene. It's an eclectic mix of people.

Aloha Lise, it's not as pretentious as some fashion shows can be and the cocktail atmosphere gives it a nice energy.

Aloha Myrl, It's a fun outdoor activity, that takes takes advantage of our beautiful weather and lively social scene.

Aloha Brian, It will sell out if it hasn't already but no worries there is always the adventure of next months Night Market.

Aloha Patricia, Mahalo for visiting. Hawai'i is an amazing place and I have great hopes for Hawai'i and her people. I have little confidence in the machinations of mankind and it's restless egos unless it involves sustainability and respect for our unique little planet. A love and respect that is made manifest in Hawai'i by our collective understanding that we must be better care givers for our planet, oceans, green spaces, for our progeny's sake. When you live on a remote island(earth) it makes perfect sense to be taking good care of your home and environment as you would your own person, as one cannot live without the other. It seems many people have a hard time understanding this hence the current state of the world with it's endless bloody conflicts and environmental disasters created by our ferocious appetite  for non-sustainable resources that our illustrious leaders are loath to take responsibility for because the profits are just so darn good. What would the world look like if humanity coopertively worked together?

We need better smarter civic leaders instead of relying on the political machine to insert the ever pliant hand looking for re-election as our "elected government officials", less religiosity and more spirituality, less hypocrisy in our institutions, less deceit, less propaganda. It's a tall order but I believe Hawai'i has a chance to achieve this state of pragmatic honesty. As for the racists and bigots who think the are "taking back America" from the native Americans they stole it from, well fortunately they are a minority here in Hawai'i, and the Hawaiian sovereignty movement is gaining considerable steam.
