I for one, love dogs. I must, if not my family would not be up to 9 dogs at this point.
Of course being a dog owner, one really needs to make sure to have adequate space for a dog. Some dogs do not require much space at all, maybe just to be taken out for walks and a bathroom break. Yup, many could actually live in a condo or town home and be super happy. Yet other dogs need a lot more space.
I wanted to just share what I know from being a dog owner. First if you own a breed like a husky, make sure that you have space and time to exercise this dog. I've come across TONS of people that just thought they looked COOL, and once they owned them they flat out could not handle the breeed. Huskies need a lot of exercise, so a big yard and a job is good for them. My daugther and wife actually race the huskies we have (5) during the cooler and winter months. They train along the dirt roads down here in Phoenix during fall, winter and spring, and take them up to the snow as well during the winter. These dogs LOVE TO RUN. The lack of it, will make them board, and they will find entertainment. Maybe eating your shoes, or your home.
As for my other dogs, they sometimes just like to hang out inside looking out! Some have not problems looking out, others might use a boost.
