Reading the National Association of Realtors magazine after my post of sales in the Greater Rochester, NY area it was interesting that even though prices of homes has risen; the discounted price runs between 1 and 11%.
It also says the longer a home sits on the market the more likely it will sell at a discounted price. 24% of the homes that sold
in the first thirty days sold at or at a premium price.
In our market the numbers are not as high as these but more realistic. It also shows that pricing the home correctly will get it sold in the shortest time frame.
