How Do You Start Your Monday?
Monday Musings - Mashable
One of my favorite websites to start the day is Mashable.com. Whether I am looking for the latest news, nationally or internationally, a funny story, entertainment about the stars, sports or technology, I can usually find something here to keep me away from my work load for the day!
Mashable is redefining storytelling by documenting and shaping the digital revolution in a new voice, new formats and cutting-edge technologies to a uniquely dedicated audience of 42 million monthly unique visitors and 24 million social followers.
Here are a few of today's Mashable stories that I just had to read more about.
Surfer who paddled towards Fanning-eating shark is a true mate Kathy says...His buddy swims out to help save him! I'm not so sure I could have done that!! True hero! |
Microsoft's first Windows 10 ads pull out the big guns: cute little kids Kathy says...Windows 10 Will Be Released July 29th. I guess there will be less hoopla on this Windows upgrade. So what will we think of this upgrade. Apparently Microsoft has also upgraded the Mac version of Microsoft Office to be more like the Windows version. Be aware that if you use excel a lot, you will not prefer the Mac version!!! |
Twitter just removed your homepage wallpaper, and people are furious Kathy says....Supposedly this is supposed to make a cleaner Twitter for users. The company has removed wallpapers from users' home and notifications timelines. Now, background images are only available where logged-in users will see them publicly. Hmmmm. Thoughts on "blinding white" at Twitter? |
I love sharing Monday Musings and today we shared Mashable. Mashable.com is a fun way to get and share news. I learn so much from their site. Whether I am checking on technology and hearing news more quickly or spying on the celebrities, I find that it is a fascinating read. It can be a huge time sucker if you don't set limits.
So read ONLY for a set amount of time. Even if Demi Moore's article is sucking you in, skip it. If you really want to read more about it, go back later. Once nice thing about Mashable.com is that you have access to their articles for a while.
