Kapaa’s Kilauea Fish Market is a deli-takeout and fish market located in the Islander Shops behind the Coconut Marketplace. The Islander Shops are just to the right of the condos at Islander on the Beach, a minute walk from the bike path and beach.
North shore’s highly-rated Kilauea Fish Market opened this second location in Kapaa a few years ago. This location has the same high quality, well priced fish wraps, tacos, salads, vegetarian entrees and more that made the original north shore location a local favorite.
When you visit look for the latest choices of fresh island fish on the large black board, handwritten menu. Their fresh Poki keeps locals coming back for more. The Ahi Wrap - also available with other fresh fish of the day - is one of their most popular items. In addition to delicious fish it is filled with brown rice, carrots, cucumber, bean sprouts, onion and their special dressing. They have a varied menu so everyone can find something appealing, including their Keiki (children’s) Plate. And dessert are good too. Try the ginger cheesecake if it’s on the menu that day. Yum!
The Kilauea Fish Market at Islander Shops is a great spot to get reasonably priced food or buy some fresh fish to cook at home when you’re staying in the Kapaa area.
Dine inside or al fresco at one of the outdoor tables, or for a real island experience just walk a few hundred feet to the beach for an
ocean view picnic on the sand.
Enjoy! You’re on beautiful Kauai!
