STAGING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

STAGING IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!

Not all homeowners require recuperating all their equity with expediency.

Many sellers can afford to wait for a bid that is in line with what their asking price is, or they are willing to heavily negotiate.

That is why I choose not to target clients who fall into the above category.

My personal crusade with our Staging business is to truly make the endeavor to sell a house as lucrative an experience as possible for the homeowner that desperately needs every cent of their equity quickly.

We market to the "average" homeowner, where their house is their major asset, and losing a grip on their entire equity means losing a lot of what they have worked so hard for.

Few thousand dollars might not be much to many folks, but to some people, we are talking about the difference between a good college fund or a great one for their kids, being able to move to a comparable home, or one which is in a better school district, or safer neighborhood.

Time wise, having their house languishing on the market means their kids don't get to enroll in school before the year begins, or a few hundred more hours commuting instead of getting home earlier for more quality time with loved ones.

Staging benefits the average family far more than a major real estate investor, or 20th time house-flipper, or someone who doesn't have their whole life on hold for the sweet release of their deserved equity.

Our approach is to SAVE money, not spend it. And when capital does need to be directed, that it is done judiciously and with an eye on a big return on that investment.

This requires skill, knowledge, and constant research to stay abreast of buying trends.

In a perfect world, staging would occur for every residential sale. Until then, our staging business will continue to direct our marketing to the homeowners who will benefit the most.

I agree with you that many sellers do not feel the rush or the pain of needing to sell and are less likely to spend money or make changes to their beloved home. Sooner or later they do get sick of the sale thing.

I think you come across as very sincere, and that should help sell the staging!  When you believe, the client will believe!

It's SO true. I have seen people attempting to stage their homes. While they spent 3 days doing it themselves, I could've done it for them in a day. Factor in time away from their jobs, I wonder how much money they really saved?

Well said, our time and our services are best spent where truly needed.  The perception is that we basically fluff the pillows and remove clutter-if we concentrate on the homes and rooms that will and have benefited from a concerted staging effort we heighten the awareness of the value of our services.

Our job is to give them the most bang for THEIR buck so to speak. Yes the house must present itself in a positive manner, but we can use their belongings to completely redesign their space. THIS HELPS SAVE A TON OF MONEY, and IT WORKS
