Connecticut Realtor Missing Since NOV 12 Found Dead

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Distinctive / LIC in VA

Even though no foul play is currently suspected in death of agent McGugan, this was yet another sad reminder to agents to keep on top of their security measures. I would guess many female agents first thoughts were that agent Christine McGugan was abducted or car jacked while showing a house. Maybe others thought that she just needed to get away. But she was married and mother of 3 children. Hard to believe she would just leave them behind and drive off to who knows where and not contact them. No reason yet has been given if it turns out that she did take her own life.

I'm not going to write a list of things agents can do to protect themselves. I'm sure every agent on here has already read numerous lists, and/or has created their own list of methods of security.

Condolences to the McGugan family. Rest in Peace

Good morning Jeff. Heard the news as well, I don't like these reminders about safety, but in these times we are in, everyone needs to pay attentions.

I can't image what her family is going through.

So very sad to read, and I pray for her family in this difficult time. I cannot imagine how their hearts are hurting right now, because they are left with so many questions I am sure.

Yes, even though not a crime in this instance, it does remind us that we should be more active in communicating our where-abouts to others, even if it is just a text, or email to a friend or loved-one.

Prayers with her family!

Michael
