Riding the currents, I'm not dead yet!

Some people have been asking me where I've been lately. Thank you for asking! The last 2 ½ months have been tough on me. I'm not usually one to complain because after all, complaining doesn't get you anywhere now does it? But if you read my post No April Fools Joke you have a small taste of what I've been up against. And thank goodness and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, that's over with for now.

But I also had my lap top computer backed over by a car. Don't ask - it's a ridiculous story. My 94 year old grandmother has been diagnosed with liver cancer and given 6-12 months to live. (which is more than we knew before) And anybody who has turned on the TV, radio or picked up a newspaper knows the real estate business has been tough lately with little hope of getting better soon.

So I've been trying not to let all of this get to me, but in a small way it has been getting to me.

But I'm not one to let an opportunity to laugh at myself pass. This morning my cell phone battery was dead and I ran out to the car to get the plug in charger to charge it up as I got ready for work. And what did I see in front of my house? Buzzards sunning themselves! Seriously, I'm not dead meat yet!

None of us are dead yet, Dana.

Good for you.  This is a tough business and folks don't give real estate folks the credit we deserve for just surviving.

Thank you all for your support!

Lenn, the customizer disconnected and disowned me 1/2 way into changing my "look". It won't let me on to correct this. Any suggestions?

Dena, I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties and your grandmother (plus the doctors never know so I don't know where they get their "figures" from).  I'm sure things are going to turn around for you and soon.  And the buzzards I'm sure were just visiting, we're all glad it's spring!

Carole, not to be crude. But at 94 years old 6-12 months sounds like a long time. Grandma is handing it well. She's sharpe as a tack, recalls details from her early days no problem, and has never had a health problem. It seems strange to be diagnosed with cancer at such a late age.

After I counted my (very) small dogs I decided the buzzards were just enjoying the day. But what a strange site.

Dena sounds like your plate is full.  I will just chock the Laptop incident as a "blonde thing" :)

Sorry to hear about you Grandmother, I hope that she does not experience pain during this time, and that the doctors can keep her comfortable.
