A lot of people do it. I've even known a few REALTORS that have done it recently. Nothing wrong with it. I admit sometimes I wish I could do it. I even sometimes wish I was a tenant instead of a landlord. But those thoughts pass quickly. But if I had a 8-5 J.O.B. I could:
1. Probably get a better rate on a home loan because I would not have to go stated income or no docs.
2. I would could be elegible for more loan programs for homeownership.
3. I would probably get more social security (if it is still available when I retire).
4. I could go home every day at 5 p.m. and not think about work and just enjoy my family and friends.
5. I could enjoy the entire weekend doing whatever lesurely activity I wanted every weekend.
6. I would get paid holidays, vacations and sick days and maybe even paid personal time and if I worked over time I'd get paid for it.
7. I would get a paycheck every week or two consistantly no matter what my results or production.
8. I could call in sick and not worry because someone would cover for me.
9. I would get a lunch break and two 15 minute breaks each day.
10. I would probably quit because the monotony would drive me crazy and I would lose interest so quickly.
That is why I am glad I'm a REALTOR and I don't have a J.O.B. It is not for me. I've never been happy in Corporate America. I'm just a rebel and I can't seem to do like most folks do. I'm just a free spirit and I have to be able to do my own thing.
