IAGB (Indian Association of Greater Boston) is pleased to announce that we will be celebrating Republic Day 2016 at Burlington High School, Burlington on Saturday, January 30th, 2016.
Republic Day commemorates the day on which the Indian republic and its Constitution came into force.
Republic Day honors the date on which Constitution of India came into force - on January 26, 1950.
This day, 26th January was selected because on this day in 1930, Mahatma Gandhi (Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi - Father of the Nation) declared the Purna Swaraj - complete Independence from British Government.

This is including ethnic folk, pure classical, creative contemporary and Bollywood dances that showcase the rich diversity of India.
This year’s theme is Folk Art of India.
