Purchasing Stocks or not purchasing Stocks? That's the Question!

I am not a person that invests my money in Stocks, I invest my money in real estate such as vacant land and properties with (no) structures on them.

I don't watch the news and or read newspapers so I am out of the loop when it comes to latest breaking events, etc.

Family and Friends keep me up to date on the news and from what they are telling me is ... "What's up with this Stock Market"?

It is totally crazy and some people are losing big money on Stocks and others are getting rich.

And if I had someone on the inside that really knows Stocks and which ones will create a great return I might think about it.

But there is no guarantee and an investor can lose money just as fast as they can make it.

No guarantee means no go for me ...

For what it's worth, below is what the S&P 500 has looked like over the past six months.

We should point out that Emanuel's charts are over a slightly longer time frame: the first is over one year, while the second is over 10 months.

Well, I'm hoping for a turn around. I have a small SEP which I plan on contributing to steadily over the next 25 years. I am not a risk taker, however, so the news make me nervous. But, I try to be patient and listen to my financial adviser's words: don't look at it & remember, it's a long-term investment!
