Is Flipping Slipping ?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Is flipping Slipping??? There seems to be less interest in trying to flip houses in the Triad area of North Carolina. The glamor of unbridled price increases has gone from the sparkle in the eyes of investors. More conservative buyers and owners are turning to the rental market as a way to capture capital gains. This is having positive effect in that there is less inventory creating a better absorption rate for homes. I would like to hear other points of view for other areas.

I think in a slower real estate market the flippers hold back.  They could lose on the investment if things don't sell quickly enough.

All the best!

Let's get you moving!
My wife and I will begin on our second flip next week.  Even in this market you can make money.  You just have to remember you make your money when you buy, not sell.  We purchased this property at a great price and are excited about looking for another one similar to this deal.

The flippers here are tired of fighting the realtors for the deals???

I think flipping has slowed in this market. People are too afraid to put the money in and not have a quick turn around.

In our area flipping is slipping although there still is a handful of investors who scooping up the repo's and then FSBOing them in the same condition as when they purchased them, not huge profit but all those nickels & dimes add up.
