New Home Construction! What It Means to Sellers?
If you're wondering if it's a good time to sell your home the answer is YES.
I know as a Realtor we say that all the time. It's true it's always a good time to sell if you need to move for some reason such as a job transfer or some other reason.
But serious, today is a good time! New Home construction is slow because builders are having a difficult time getting permits according to a recent article in Realtor magazine entitled 'Why New Home Buyers May See Longer Waits"
It tells us that cities are working with smaller staffs which slow down the permit and approval process. These delays are costing builders more which obviously they will pass on to their buyers which raises their home price. New homes are usually higher than resale homes which means you can get top dollar now especially with low inventory in most areas.
Soon spring will be here and that's when we should see a lot of homes coming on the market plus the new home construction will be in full swing which means competition of more homes to chose from for potential buyers.
What happens when there's no competition? You get more buyers visiting whatever homes are on the market which means a quicker sale and asking price or even more. So why wait?
