Tip of the day: Network!

A great agent has an even greater network...

     It's true, it really is good to know people, especially in this business.  It's not enough to have a hefty client-base.  It's also important to network.  By network, I mean make connections!   A successfu agent should have a network of people who provide the same level of service that they do.  As a Real Estate Agent, you should know the best (in your opinion) contractors, appraisers, lenders, and insurance providers in the industry.  An agent should work as the epicenter of an even larger being that involves people who help and assist with anything Real Estate 

or home related.  When selling a home, one of your jobs is to create a vision in the buyers' eyes of what the home could look like with the proper work put in.  Whether you stage the home or draw up ideas, it's still not enough. Knowing the name of the person or company who will stage the home in a beautiful way is enough.  Knowing the name of the contractor that will make that vision real life is enough.  Then of course there's a necessity of knowing the best lenders, appraisers, and insurance agents to get that house for your client. Make your work authentic. Compile a list of people in each of these categories so that they are handy once you're ready to use them. Build a network of people who provide the best service, and in turn, while you're recommending their services they, along with their clients, will recommend yours.
