I remember when I was in school... I played baseball.
It was always played right after school so it was hard for working parents to get to the games.
Unlike football and basketball, which were played after parents got home.
So, as a grand parent my wife and I attend all the track meets we can and we cheer on the entire team.
I actually am able to get down with the runners and others to talk and encourage them.
Yes, it does take time out of my day, but I believe I am helping to build our future.
My children all played sports and we were at almost every game we could attend. It is very important to support and cheer our children and their teams and they appreciate it and often talk about how good it made them feel.
That is great you attend her meets :) I always appreciated my family at my track meets.
My kids were all involved in sports in their growing up years. Mostly, they chose swimming!
