Northern Virginia News: Home Inspector needs to be Licensed with DPOR

Finally, Virginia is catching up with nearby state regulations where the home inspector are required to be licensed. The bill was passed and signed by the Governor. The law will take effect on July 1, 2017, and requires Virginia home inspectors to be licensed at DPOR. 

Home inspector licensees will fall under the Asbestos, Lead, and Home Inspector Board at DPOR.

Hopefully, this will help us to weed out hiring any unprofessional home inspectors and help the qualified home inspector to raise their standard.
