April, 2008.  Kansas approves $33,000,000 for Cessna to build new Aircraft plant for the Citation Columbus model.  The plant will employ 1,000 aircraft workers generating around $77,000,000 a year in new wages for the city.  An additional 2,000 to 3,000 jobs will be created in the metropolitan area because of this work.
