Reading, writing, cataracts and I guess getting old

By
Real Estate Agent 40CA1147997

Recently as in the last few months it has been a pain to read and write in any venue and even sometimes just looking at pictures.

As I could not figure it out and it was not time to see the optometrist it was put aside.

As the better half was going in and they were doing the drops I drove and was talking to the Doc who took a look and said it will soon be time to get rid of the cataracts in my eyes!

So if you are getting older and it seems like something is floating in your vision take the time and have it checked.

As I will be out of commission for six to eight weeks I will be contemplating a full retirement!

Make yourself an astonishing day.

Raymond - my grandmother had one of the first cataract surgeries in the 50s.  She had to stay at her sister's house to keep her away from my brother and me!  It was many weeks before she was able to be up and around.  Today, I hear, things are different!

Raymond E. Camp - I've been told the same by my doctor too. It's very scary. I don't think anyone is prepared to get that type of news. Finding the right surgeon to do the best surgery and being able to afford it is a challenge for many. Even if I had the surgery, I wouldn't have anyone to help me - so I'd be in the dark anyways.  But let's not talk about me.

I wish circumstances were different for you. You can't compare yourself to what anyone else has gone through. Surgery is surgery! I have a shared concern and will be keeping you in thought and prayers.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAYMOND! It's a time to count your blessings, examine choices, and be grateful for good news. I consider anytime a doctor gives me bad news/good news, it's better than not getting anything good in return.

Getting older takes COURAGE! We discover that with age.

Good morning Raymond E. Camp cataracts are a part of life!!!!  everyone gets them eventually....it's a quick fix and then your vision is better than ever before....it's macular degeneration that one needs to be mindful of....but there are methods to arrest that now...no cure but it can be stopped from progressing....
