It wouldn’t be the 4th of July without fireworks! Here is a list of the show locations throughout the County. Each venue has its own rules so please check the location website for information.
Big Bay Boom – Now in its 16th year the Big Bay Boom features fireworks discharged simultaneously from 4 barges in San Diego Bay. Patriotic songs are simulcast on FM 105.7 and AM 1090. The show begins at 9 pm and will also be broadcast on Fox 5. Check the website for viewing locations and transportation information. www.bigbayboom.com
Chula Vista 4th Fest – The show will be held at the Olympic Training Center, 2800 Olympic Pkwy, beginning at 9 pm. Admission is free, but parking at the center is $10. www.chulavista.ca.gov
4th of July Lights over the Cove – Ellen Browning Scripps Park, 1180 Coast Blvd, La Jolla. Fireworks will begin at 9 pm. www.lajollabythesea.com
Ocean Beach 4th of July Fireworks – Fireworks will be launched from the pier at the foot of Newport Ave beginning at 9 pm. www.oceanbeachsandiego.com
Coronado Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks – Coronado will be celebrating all day, beginning with an early morning run and including an art show, rough water swim and concert. Fireworks will begin at 9 pm over Glorietta Bay. www.ecoronado.com/4th
Escondido’s 53rd Annual Independence Day Festival and Fireworks – Over 20,000 people are expected at the Escondido Center for the Arts to enjoy live entertainment, food and children’s activities beginning at 4 pm. Fireworks begin at 9 pm. www.artcenter.org/event/independence-day-festival
National City’s 4th of July Carnival and Fireworks – Hosted by the National City Lion’s Club, the event begins at noon and runs until midnight at Kimball Park, 12th St and D Avenue. There will be games, rides, food and entertainment. Fireworks begin at 9 pm. www.ci.national-city.ca.us
Sea World’s Sea to Shining Sea 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular – This extended fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. and is included with park admission. www.seaworldsandiego.com
Poway Old Fashioned 4th of July and Fireworks Celebration – Enjoy turn-of-the-century game and activities at Old Poway park from 10 am – 4 pm, 14134 Midland Rd. Then enjoy more games activities, music and fireworks at the Poway High School Stadium beginning at 6 pm. Admission is $5, free to children under 11. www.poway.org
Santee Salutes 4th of July Celebration – enjoy carnival rides, games and food vendors from 2:30 – 10 pm at town Center Community Park, 550 Park Center Dr. Parking is $5, or free at Costco with a free shuttle. Fireworks begin at 9 pm. www.santeesalutes.com
