Summer 2016 Active Rain Meetups!

Time to celebrate Summer with a few Active Rain friends!

The next round of meetups will be starting in just over 2 weeks.

Time to get your meetup scheduled sometime between July 23rd and August 7th and send the details in the format mentioned below.

 

What’s a Meetup?

For those who are not familiar with meetups, they are an Active Rain tradition and a chance for us to get to know a few Rainers and other real estate professionals without a computer in front of us, you know, like face to face.

At these meetups we get a chance to visit, learn and just have a good time.

Some meetups we talk about business and blogging, others about family, sports and fun, but most meetups tend to cover all of these topics and a few more.

Many meetups are at a restaurant where we all cover our own meals, others are at the host’s business location or home.

They vary in many factors like location and topics, but the one thing they all have in common is that they are a great opportunity to take a few hours off and visit with some Active Rain Friends.

 

 Are you ready to host a meetup?

Every year we hear many complain that there are no meetups anywhere near their location, and if you are in that position then the solution is a simple one…

 

Host a Meetup yourself!

• It is not very difficult, the toughest part is deciding when and where.
• Keep track of who attends, and write a post with pics after the meetup.
• Just let me know the particulars and I will publicize it.
• It is also a good idea to write an announcement blog post about your meetup to help generate more excitement for those in your area as well as giving all the details and collecting rsvp’s.

 

 

 

Ready to host? The first easy step is to let me know and leave a comment with the info below before the 23rd of this month.

Though the reward of visiting your fellow professionals is likely enough, we are also giving and extra bonus, hosts will receive 3,000 points and all attendees will receive 1,000 points!

 

I'll send out a list of the MeetUps next week, if you don't see one in your area, you will still have a few days to submit yours. The deadline for scheduling a MeetUp is July 22, but don’t wait until the last minute, we want to have plenty of time to get the word out on these.

And finally, if you are like me you like to schedule these things far ahead whenever possible, so mark your calendars now with the meetup dates for the whole year.

Please plan to have a meetup in your area for each of these opportunities.
