How is the year going so far, I'm I following my business plan?
Well I'm happy to report, mostly I'm doing pretty well with my plan.
I have really several pillars that I use for my business plan. The plan includes doing things such as working expired listing, fsbo (for sale by owners), my database, video marketing, on line marketing, farming (postcard), newsletter......and couple more things.
For the most part I have actually been doing really well with my busines plan, and following it. I'm I were I want to be on the number of transactions I'd be at year to date? No not really, but I am pretty pleased over all at where I am at this point. Lots of times as we set the goal, it is usually set high anyway so we are reaching for greater things right? I'm actually doing pretty well as far as dollar volume, just not in line with the number of sales I'd have, but again............I'm happy where I'm at.
I have been following all of my business plan pillars except a few. One of the pillars that I really thought I would be working on more this year is open houses. Well, couple years ago, city of Phoenix ended up taking many of my signs and it cost money. I had and still do use bandit signs (of course they have my brokerage and phone number) but because they are corrugated plastic and on a "h" wire frame, they city considers them bandit. So they picked many of them up, costs me hundreds, and well I have not been to keen on doing it.............but I should. I also have not been doing well with either the FSBO or expired. Sure many posters/agents/realtors don't like these two (especially expired listing predators) but to me it really is just another pillar. I help people sell homes that did not sell, it is my job. Does not hurt to offer. Course, I have been lagging with expired and fsbo as well.
Beyond that, another great year. Did I mention it is 111 degrees today!!! Can you say, lets take the day off. It really is too hot out there. Would love to, but I have appointments to keep, homes to sell, and buyers to represent.
