Searcy AR Art Gallery Black House Arts Council

Pardon the not-quite-clear look of this little 2"x3" object.  But you can definitely see the picture and the writing and the charm of this little magnet.  I don't even like refrigerator magnets and advise clients to get the kid's artwork and the magnets off the refrigerator when trying to sell their house.  I tell them to depersonalize the house because you want the buyer to see the house not your personal items and your family pictures.

But I got off the subject.  This little magnet costs $4 at the Searcy Arts Council Gallery located at 300 West Race Avenue in Searcy AR.  It is known as The Black House and has a long history and fortunately has survived the tendency of a growing town to destroy all the old mansions during the growth.  I saw the magnets on a recent visit to the gallery and decided I needed one!  There is a very good art exhibit, The Art of Morgan Coven Herndon, going on at the gallery right now so hurry on down, visit the charming old home, admire the paintings, grab a magnet and perhaps become a member.

Good morning Barbara. I'm not a magnet person either but have a few like this one I treasure.

Sheila, do you also tell folks to take the magnets off the refrigerator?  I had a listing once and the seller had the whole refrigerator covered with magnets because she collected them.  Well, it could have been a "draw" instead of a turnoff!  LOL
