No washer/dryer in this condo, what to do?

All,

I staged a condo in Baltimore recently, it is spacious and Staged to sell! However, there is no washer and dryer in the unit.  The Realtor has had two different buyers interested in the property and they have passed on this lovely condo due to the lack of a washer/dryer.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Anita

WOW wow wow - beautiful staging!  Love your taste!

Are their hook-ups for w/d in the unit?  Julie

Julie,

Thanks for your compliment. No, the condo association does not allow w/d within the units.  However, there is new technology the Haier ventless w/d all in one combo. I recommended this to the Realtor, the seller is her sister.  Here is the link:

Perhaps the seller could provide a list of "Concierge Services":  Area restaurants, laundries, etc. that pick up and deliver?  Julie

Anita - All you can do is suggest to the Realtor the Haier ventless, which you have done.  Does that mean there is no washer dryer in the building for owners to use - they all have to go to the laundry mat?  I can see where that would be a turn off to buyers.  You might also suggest that they leave out the Haier info. so potential buyers can see it.  I personally had no idea it existed.

I think you've covered yourself. If the builder didn't provide for in-unit w/d then it's pretty much out of your hands. I wouldn't think this would be a problem YOU would have to solve - you didn't build the condo.

I'm surprised the HOA doesn't allow units to hev them (probably due to water damage if 1 explodes).  Since you offered a great alternative, it's pretty much out of your hands.  I like what Julia mentioned ~ are there any delivery laundry services?  I see a wheel chair in the pic - if it's primarily a retirement community, who wouldn't LOVE to have someone else do their washing and ironing ;-)

All good points, a laundry service might give a senior a disount too.  Love the furniture/accessories, are they your inventory?  Our furn. company doesn't stock stuff like that.

I think there is a washer and dryer on the floor however, both couples wanted their own, personally I don't blame them.

The furniture and accessories are my own, I have enough to furnish about 4 homes and accessories for 10.
