Chris Ann Cleland, Braemar Real Estate Agent, 703-402-0037A Sign of a Good Real Estate Agent

As a Bristow, Virginia Real Estate Agent, I love that I live in the area where i do most of my business.  I get to run into my clients from time to time and it makes me feel like I live in a small town.

Tonight, I attended our neighborhood's Annual Board of Directors Meeting.  Mind you, most of my business comes from my neighborhood of Braemar.  I was so happy to run into a buyer who I helped purchase a home exactly one year ago today.  There wasn't a look of dread on his face or any effort to ignore me.  Nope.  He was pleased to see me, chat a while and show me pictures of his home.  He said the things he loved about the home when he bought it are the things he still loves about it.

Before I entered real estate, just like the rest of the public, I dreaded interactions with real estate agents.  And when my husband and I worked with one we trusted, it was nice to run into her.  Now, being on the other side of it, it makes me so proud to be a Bristow Real Estate Agent that my clients not only remember, but enjoy bumping into.  There is no skulking around town or hiding behind displays from my past clients because I know, and they know, I always do what is best for them.

If you are looking for a top notch Bristow Real Estate Agent, give me a call and let me know how I can help you.

Hi Chris Ann Cleland - I agree with you, it is great to run into past clients.

I live in a small town and bump into clients all the time. I love it.  I have even run into a client that bought from someone else. You never know when they may buy again....and maybe next time, they will call me!

Hi Chris Ann

What a nice compliment to you...but I'm not in the least surprised. I have rarely run into clients given we are a pretty populated area, and clients are pretty spread out. But I know I would enjoy it!!

Jeff Dowler --My cousin moved back to my area from Albuquerque and we were going on a late night shopping trip.  I expressed that i had to chane out of my sweat pants because I might run into someone.  Being a larger area than where she came from, she scoffed, but sure enough, we ran into one of my past clients.

Past clients are always a treat when we bump into them.  That catch up period is when we hear about the changes they made to the house

Ed Silva --And last night I got to hear how the referral of the painter I made went.  The painter is now being referred by that home owner.  Made me very happy to hear.

I love bumping into clients, but like Jeff Dowler says, doesn't happen too often with so many millions of people here. I work to make it happen though with client get-togethers, email notes back and forth, etc.

Lottie Kendall --I don't live in a small area, but I work a relatively small area for the most part.  That's what creates the closeness and likelihood of bumping into them.

Great post on community in general, from my perspective. And on the importance of taking pride in a job well done and using that in the future. Some people may dread running into real estate agents. But when we consider how many professionals we interact with every day that don't inspire that negative feeling, it is clear that an agent needs to recognize the opportunity to establish themselves as an exception.
