Fortune Cookie Wisdom: Over Deliver, Under Promise While my fortune cookie message seems to have transposed the order of these actions, I whole heartedly believe and practice the message. Under promising and over delivering is what I do regularly. When someone feels you have gone "above and beyond" for them, this is why. You have probably under promised and over delivered.
