On December 21, 2016, The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) reported that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac completed approximately 46,390 foreclosure prevention actions in the 3rd quarter of 2016 to a total of over 3.7 million, including over 3.0 million borrowers stay in their homes, and delinquency rate dropped to 1.16% at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2016.
Borrowers missed two or more payments fell 3.0% to 421,765 through 3rd quarter of 2016, and REO inventory down 9.0% to 52,891 property in the 3rd quarter of 2016, according to www.fhfa.gov
