Here’s my story...
My home in the 1970s was a 410 foot long submarine in the South Pacific ocean. I made 7 strategic patrols on the USS Ethan Allen SSBN 608, a fleet ballistic missile submarine. with an average length of each patrol being 74 days underwater. I spent 4 Christmas here with 111 other friends and co-workers and you never have a white Christmas underwater.
This is my bedroom, living room and where I worked. A color photograph looks much the same as these black and white photos. There were only three of us that lived in this cramped environment in torpedo room compartment. I was in my twenties without a family at the time and I don’t know if I could go back to that lifestyle in my sixties.
I look forward to your contribution to my challenge...
