In celebration of both National Pet Week and Be Kind to Animals Week during May 7-13, 2017, the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association (HVMA) proudly presents HAWAII PET EXPO 2017, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 13 & 14. This year’s theme is “People Who Care Take Their Pet to the Vet.“
HAWAII PET EXPO encourages responsible pet ownership and strengthening the unique bond between people and their pets through educational displays, live animal demonstrations, and the latest in pet products and services.
Pets are welcome – dogs must be leashed and pets must be in good health and under their owner’s control at all times.

Dog, cat, bird and fish clubs, non-profit animal welfare organizations, a variety of businesses providing pet products and services, crafters, and other groups will be participating in this year’s event.
Free pet care advice, as well as an informative display about “Dangers in Your Home – How to Keep Your Pets Safe,” will be available throughout HAWAII PET EXPO 2017 at the HVMA Ask-A-Vet booth. Other event highlights include: Dog Obedience demonstration (Saturday and Sunday), Parade of Dog Show (Saturday, 1:30 p.m.), Parade of Cat Show/Household Cat Show (Sunday, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.), and the Annual Hawaiian Kennel Club Puppy Match (Sunday, noon).
