Help feed hungry Realtors.

By
Real Estate Agent with Re/Max Around The Mountains

In the slowest real estate market in my lifetime there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have found out that many of my friends in the business have decided that they are through ,ready to give up and place there licences on inactive.

When all this change started to take place I have encouraged them to get another job and just hang there licence and let me do the full time stuff for them. This has created a win-win situation for both of us. They are getting paid and not having to burn their gas or spend their family time working on the weekends. I don't get the whole pie, but some pie is better than no pie. It hopefully will build a great team when the market turns, I want to see the good ones back making the money that they are used to making.

At the end of the day, I have found out that you can help other and help yourseil too. I have also found that a little goodwill goes a long way.

Greg ..I think much of our business was founded on GOOD WILL, make sure when you feed a hungry Realtor you start with small bites though like puppies they eat all thats in front of them and get sick if you give them too much to fast..Good Luck!! Steve

It is sad to see them go.  At least you are helping them.  An agent recently left my office.  I suggested he work for a company that is real estate related so that he will 'stay in the loop'.

I think it's a great marketing move. I'll work referrals all day long. Some commission is much better than ZERO commission. And you are right; it's a win/win.

Very wise of you and hopefully when things turn around again, those great agents can come back and achieve greatness also!
