It is that time of year again! The time, when you look for the colors, the sparkles, and the noise. 
 
There are fireworks in the neighborhood this year, folks! Fun! Fun! Fun!

Date: July 3rd
 
Time:9:15p.m.
 
   The fireworks will be at Memorial Park, 76th Avenue. and College Drive, Palos Heights
 
.The fireworks will be over Lake Katherine.

 The fireworks will be at Centennial Park, 15600 West Avenue, Orland Park. Come a little
 
early and hear some of your favorite music from the
 
 90"s , featuring the Famous Cover Band , "Run Forest Run " at 7:15 p.p.
 
  Fireworks will follow the concert  at 9:15 p.m.

Don't Forget,   The Palos Hills Friendship Festival
 
Where: Moraine Valley Triangle, 107th Street & 88th Avenue ,   Palos Hills
 
When: 6 to 10:30p.m. , July  9th
           6p.m. to midnight, July 10th
           noon to midnight, July 11th
           1 to 10:30p.m. , July 12th

    The excitement is not over yet, friends and neighbors. I have a question for you? How

long has the Palos Hills Friendship Festival been going on?

If you said, "Thirty Five years!", you are spot on! Congratulations! It used to be just a

family picnic, but now it runs from July 9th to July 12th at Moraine Valley Triangle in Palos

Hills.

According to an article in The Southtown, Palos Hills Mayor, Gerald Bennett states that "with free

parking and free admission, you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to. There's plenty

of free entertainment.There's music in the beer tent for the entire four days"

      There is also a family carnival at the festival. Mega passes cost $40 prior to noon July 9th at Palos

Hills Community Center, 8455 W 103rd St., and $50 at the festival. There will also be food

vendors and a petting zoo.And guess what? The colors, and sparkles and noise are not over yet!! The

festival will conclude with Flashing Thunder Fireworks!
