Stick With Something Until It Plays Out

There are many detours on the road of life. 

This is my theory with my so called golf game also. People who hit the ball right down the middle miss so much of the golf course Gary Woltal

I wonder if there are any Real Estate Sales people who have only had the one job... that is interesting concept. The people I know who kept the same job their whole working lives were military, teachers and plant manufacture workers like Boeing and Beech

I cant think of one Realtor I know who didnt have different career choices to start and then became a Realtor..... Great Post!! 

Aloha Gary, good to see your wisdom on AR. As always spot on, the potholes of life can be a great training ground. I have attended the school of hard knocks, and I really try and pay attention to the signs, do not enter, or turn left.

Financial planners using savings and investments vehicles can forecast your savings growth based upon the power of compounding or the Rule of 72.  It is not only predictable but accurate, however, the journey of our life is unpredictable. 

Regardless, with a constant annual percentage rate of return in a savings or investment account, a small savings or investment amount will grow substantially over a period of time regardless of the changes in your life's journey. So put your money to work as soon as possible and no matter how often you change jobs or careers, your money will work and grow continuously. 

Seriously, Gary, the detours are what makes life interesting and provide us with stories worth recounting.

Gary- I love the point you make!  Too often we are too quick to have knee-jerk reactions to changes without analyzing what is happening. We have to count to 10, step back and take a deep breath.

Gary, the illustrations you provided reminded me of watching a heart monitor on a patient in the hospital. It was up and down but when the line went straight it meant that life had ended.

We seem to think that a straight line life would be bliss, but life is not like that.
