I like the after Christmas get togethers.

Hi William - I understand what you're saying. We have our big Christmas event on Christmas Eve; Christmas day is hectic, but my husband and I always take a couple of hours at least by ourselves, hiking across town to a favorite spot of ours. Today was delightfully calm -- healthy eating returned; a visit to the YMCA and meeting with a trainer; getting back to business for half a day; cleaning out 2017 files, making room for 2018. By tomorrow I'll be calm and focused again.

Spending quality time with family is the best part of the holiday season. Hope that you get many more of those precious memories. All the best 

I know exactly what you mean. A couple of years ago Christmas celebrations lasted over a week and they were small and intimate and lots of visiting one on one.

I sure get what you mean. Sometimes it just gets too crazy during the holidays trying to cram it all in, and it's nice to have a gathering at another time when you can really enjoy it!

I kind of agree with you about the after Christmas events.  I hosted Christmas Day dinner at my house.  And, keeping it together in the midst of chaos wasn't easy.

But sometimes these little gatherings drag out to far also.

Bill there is nothing like spending christmas with immediate family. So peaceful!
