1. Mistake: Neglect The Yard.

No...You want to make sure the grass is mowed and watered, and the bushes are trimmed and shaped.

 

2. Mistake: Leave Your Personal "Stuff" Around The Property.\

No...Clear all the clutter just like you should be doing on the inside.

 

3. Mistake: Don't Worry How The Front Door Looks.

No...A front door should say "Welcome", not that the screen is ripped or the railing is rusty, or the door nob hanging.

 

4. Mistake: Keep The Lights Off.

No...You want your house to shine from the outside in. Don't stay in the dark. Lighten up your front entry.

 

5. Mistake: No One Is Going To Care What The Outside Looks Like.

No...Buyers are looking at your house from it's Curb Appeal, and will decide if they want to go in or keep driving...

How funny, Sheila and Larry... I did a post on curb appeal today, as well. Great minds and all that... love the tip about the lights. I hate the dark inside and outside of my house. Never could understand why people leave their homes dark in general, much less when they are selling.
