Disappointment with Computer technology

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is very disappointed with computor technology with yet another laptop going down ;o(

In the last 3-4 years I have purchased 2 Microsoft computers which lasted about 6+ months and then they fail with different problems. By the time I bring them in, get them fixed and pay the bill I could have bought another new one.

Well I will never purchase another PC laptop computer run by Microsoft. And 2 weeks ago my Mac Pro 17 inch took a dump and I can't log into it ;o(

I have had the Apple Mac for approx 10 years and bought it used from a friend at ActiveRain. I have never had problems with the Mac until recently and have not been able to blog, check emails, etc.

I am not really sure what I am going to do? I am posting this blog with my smart phone and really don't think I am going to spend anymore money on laptops, or personal computers.

So that being said you will be seeing less and less of old Vegas Bob on ActiveRain. I am tired of wasting my money on computers and am very disappointed with the latest technology, all the updates and or crashes happening lately.

I'm sorry to hear you have has so many problems wit your computers. Many people say buying insurance is worth in maybe that could have helped in your issues. Hang in there..we want to still see you post!

I got the black screen of death on an HP computer a few months ago.

Then I lost one (!) in Baltimore last month.

Hello Fred and believe it or not with all these updates, I do believe the computer industry diliberatly builds their computers to break down so we have to buy new ones.

Technology is wonderful, but it is not always reliable and sure is a nuisance when it doesn't work properly. I feel that I have had pretty good luck with laptops that I have had and I have never really tried apple products, other than my iPad, which I didn't feel was all that great.
