The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity. ~ Lewis Grizzard
Let's face it. Football is HUGE. And what goes better with football than tasty appetizers? My September postcard has a football theme along with an easy to prepare jalapeno and cheese dip recipe that is sure to please.

Bon Appetit!
Jalapeno Popper Dip
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies
1 can (4 oz) diced jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 T olive oil
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, mayo, cheddar, chilies, peppers and 1/4 cup Parmesan until blended. Spoon into an ungreased 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, oil and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle over cheese mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with chips or crackers.
