Name Branding.

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Elite Performance
Does name branding matter? Well let's consider the last time you were out of town, perhaps striking up conversation with someone on a plane and the topic of conversation gets to relocation. Not only is our relocation department tops but when local real estate companies without name branding are not only missing out on millions of dollars of creative and directional advertising but they're also harder names to remember. Remembering Coldwell Banker however is not difficult to do and just for that very reason. Can you see the benefit to not only buyers but sellers in that kind of branding?

Jon - Branding has been on my mind for quite some time and I have tried to take a step back and evaluate. I really feel it's the agent, not the agency. You can move from brokerage to brokerage thinking there is better branding when it's really just selling yourself.

Katharine, I couldn't agree with you more.  But I think when you can marry the two - wow! Now that's marketing!

Katharine, I had a funny thought right after I responded to you.  Sometimes when it's the agent it's really the agent.  Ya know... you take you with you where ever you go?  If you're not the problem there's no solution? I don't know I thought that was kind of hilarious.  How many agents do you know or have seen that float from one broker to the next in search of something that will change the way in which they sell real estate or that somehow moving will be the magic cure to their slump. They blame everyone but themselves.  I don't know I just had to share that one with ya.  I thought you'd get a kick out of it.
